I am just wondering if two people own a home if one of them can buy the home insurace? Will the other individuals belongings be convered even if their name is not on the insurance but they are a legal ower of the home? We’re cramped for time and only one of us will be able to get the insurance done. Any help would be great!!

I’ve read my home insurance policy and it doesn’t say anything about if i need any other cover if i rent my house. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

if someone filed for bankruptcy 5+ yrs ago and then thru their job they have a large life insurance policy….will the money from this life insurance have to go towards paying off the creditors which were listed in the bankruptcy?

We’re married and her parents don’t know. My insurance doesn’t cover her treatment but her parents’ insurance plan for her will. Is it illegal to have health insurance for 1 person from 2 companies? Or is this something that the bill collectors cannot touch at least legally? How would the creditors even know that there was a payout of life insurance? Anyway for them to know this? I have an auto insurance policy with my spouse. He was in an accident and filed a claim. He is not planning to buy another car and is going to use public transport. If I drop him from my policy, will my rates still go up because of his claim even though I was not involved in the accident? If I go with a different insurance company only for myself, will they also quote higher rates because of the claim?

I used to own whole life insurance until I learned the hard way about the truth behind it. A life agent said cash value was a great way to build savings for retirement and that I can use it anytime. That sounded pretty great and so me and my husband bought it. About 28 years later, he died in an accident. The life insurance paid the death claim about 30 days after I filed a claim. But all the cash value was gone! With the cash value, I could of used it for my retirement.
So now I got rid of my whole life and paid a surrender charge on the cash value. The mortgage is paid off and no one is dependant on my income anymore. So I don’t need life insurance. I moved about $45,000 of cash value into various investments.
All I have to say to people buying life insurance is do your own research about life insurance before listening to life insurance agents.
