I have private health insurance from blue cross blue shield, I also get blue cross blue-shield from the work I do for the state. If I was to use the insurance from my work would it be a conflict with the insurance I privately have? I was told that they would cancel each other out and I would lose my private insurance. Is this true??? I don’t really want to lose my private insurance for health and security reasons but I also don’t want to keep paying more if i don’t have to in the long run.

I received a Form 702 from a small life insurance settlement & am not sure if I will owe any taxes on this. My first & only clue so far is that when running through TurboTax there doesn’t appear to be any section to reference or include this inheritence. My sister is 6 months pregnant and just found out from her work today that her health care insurance is going to be cancelled this week because she is not making enough hours for her to keep her coverage. Is there anyway around this? Or any suggestions? She is married but her husband cannot add her to his coverage until enrollment period which is after her due date. if someone filed for bankruptcy 5+ yrs ago and then thru their job they have a large life insurance policy….will the money from this life insurance have to go towards paying off the creditors which were listed in the bankruptcy?

We purchased a home and had allstate insurance, we recently had a fire and now we are being told that we had the wrong policy and we are in a long drawn out process. We dont know if the policy will be covered or not yet. Allstate is dragging there feet. Even though it is the agents responsibility to take pics and view the home she did not. they told us that the agents are not actual employees of allstate. can anyone give us advice on what to do?
