Burglaries from households in England and Wales increased by 14% throughout the year 2010-11 based on the British Crime Survey. This increase will be worrying for homeowners, because being the victim of burglary can be extremely distressing and expensive.
In case your residence is burgled it is worth pursuing these 10 basic steps. They’ll help you handle a burglary and make a successful insurance policy claim through a firm of Loss Assessors.
1. In the event that you have been burgled, definitely call the police straight away. You need their documents as proof to process a claim in many cases.

I have been told by a contractor I have hail damage on my roof, my insurance company denies it and won’t cover me. I have been with them for 25 years, the contractor wants to meet with the adjustor at my home to discuss this but they say no, what should I do?

Someone broke into my car and stole my DSLR while parked overnight in our gated driveway. The camera equipment cost about $2000. I’m wondering if I can file a claim with my home insurance instead of my automobile insurance.

I’ve got a bit of a problem with my shower at the moment – there is wooden panelling around the base of the shower which is getting damp probably due to a leak from the base. I’ve called a plumber out to take an initial look, apparently there’s a strong possibility I’ll need to get a completely new cubicle and tray installed, new tiling done & also to get the floorboards underneath treated. The plumber told me I may be able to claim some of this through my home insurance.
This is my first home & I’ve never had a big problem like this before – how do I go about seeing whether my insurance would pay out? And are there implications for my future monthly premium?
Thanks

I have an auto insurance policy with my spouse. He was in an accident and filed a claim. He is not planning to buy another car and is going to use public transport. If I drop him from my policy, will my rates still go up because of his claim even though I was not involved in the accident? If I go with a different insurance company only for myself, will they also quote higher rates because of the claim?

I bought a used car a few months ago that had a near flawless finish. Over the past few months it’s been scratched several times by my nephew on his bike. We’ve talked and now I need to file a claim with my insurance. The marks are everywhere, back of the trunk, right rear quarter panel, hood, left rear quarter panel.
The problem is, before I knew I could claim damages, I used a touch up kit to cover the scratches and gouges so they are hard to see. But I could still take pictures of them as they stand now and probably get a letter from the salesman, proclaiming the condition that he told it to me in. What else do I need to file a claim with Auto Owners? Yes, I have full coverage, including comprehensive.

Hi!
I am with auto-insurance company X right now and due to few number of insurance claims that I had made, my insurance is going up. I am wondering if I try to switch to some company Y, will X share my claims information with Y?
Thanks!
