Choosing Home Insurance And How To Switch?

Can anyone recommend a good home insurer (good rates and reliable)??? I know those two usually don’t go hand and hand…
And how would I go about switching from my current insurer to a new one? Right now, I pay the insurance to an escrow account with the mortgage payment.
Thanks

The company you use for your car insurance might be the best deal…they will often give you a discount since you are already doing business with them. This site also might have some good tips/info. http://insurance.divinfo.com/

I use to have Farmer’s Insurance and cost me almos 2500 per year. Then I changed my cars to AAA and they offered me a great deal with my cars and my home. The home insurance went down to 900. I have fire, flood, wind (storm) …. So I don’t have any complaints about it.
